Tony

CrossFit Sheffield’s owner and head coach. I’ve been very physically active all of my life and after leaving the Royal Marines I began training in CrossFit. I believed in it so much that back in 2011 I opened CrossFit Sheffield and have never looked back. I still enjoy coaching, training everyday and trying to get ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

CF Level 1& 2 certified, CF Gymnastics, CF Kids, British Weightlifting Level 1 and qualified personal trainer.

I’ve always loved sport and exercise, triathlons, football, climbing and track. I began with CrossFit as a new challenge as I love to compete in anything and absolutely fell in love with it. I’ve been coaching for 7+ years now and seeing the look on people’s faces when they manage something new for the first time is brilliant.

CF Level 1, Gym instructor Level 2, Personal Trainer level 3.

Started CrossFit in 2014 with the aim of building strength and improving all round fitness. Fell in love with the programming, challenge, community and have been training here ever since. I’m normally to be found in the corner picking up a heavy stone whilst drinking coffee.

CrossFit level 1 trainer, Gym Instructor level 2, Personal Trainer level 3, Strength and conditioning coach level 4.

The crazy, curly haired coach. Normally to be found in the gym practicing some kind of drill, working on mobility, coaching, drinking coffee or in Spain… all of my favourite things.
I started CrossFit in 2014 and begain coaching in 2018. I have my CF level 1 and CrossFit gymnastics certification.

I absolutely love helping people and seeing them achieve their goals and enjoy CrossFit!

I got into fitness quite late in life, having never been sporty. So I really understand and appreciate the effort people put into improving their fitness.

I started at CrossFit Sheffield in 2014 and absolutely love it here I got my CrossFit level 1 in 2018, following that up with my CrossFit kids certificate in 2019.

The best thing about being a coach here is being able to help people out.

I started CrossFit in my twenties and totally fell in love with it - the training, the workouts (unless it’s assault bike) and the community. I love using the fitness gained from CrossFit to complete other challenges such as a recent Ironman event.

I really enjoy competing, training and now having the chance to coach others in something I’m passionate about is really fulfilling.

I started CrossFit 2 years ago and completely fell in love with the training and the community. Working out with a bunch of great people, getting stronger, faster and learning new things all the time is what differentiates CrossFit from all other training programmes. I never thought I'd climb a rope or lift heavy concrete balls on a weekly basis (and sometimes in the same workout!).

CrossFit isn't easy but it makes you achieve goals you didn't think possible.

Being part of the CrossFit Sheffield team and being able to coach our members to achieve incredible things is wonderful.

I first heard of CrossFit when I was 30 but it took me 10 years to pluck up the nerve to give it a go. I wish I’d taken the plunge sooner because I quickly discovered how supportive the community is, how adaptable the workouts are and how much my physical and mental health have improved as a result. I’m passionate about helping others discover that same joy and achieve things they didn’t think they were capable of. You’ll usually find me upside down or hanging from the rig working on my gymnastics, throwing a barbell about or just hanging out with one of the gym dogs. I’m always up for a chat so come and say hello!

CrossFit level 1 trainer.
